Prof. dr. sc. Mladen Vedriš graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb in 1973. In 1975 he obtained his LL. M. degree and in 1996 his Ph. D. degree. Since May 2005 he has been a full professor at the Department of Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Law and a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics. Also, since 2009 he has been President of the Partnership Council of the City of Zagreb. In addition, he is a member of the Central Committee of the Croatian Association of Economists and a member of the Supervisory Board of Genera Inc. He previously worked as a member of the Economic Council of the President of the Government, the President of the Supervisory Board of Getro Inc, President of the Advisory Council of the Agency for the Promotion of Trade and Investment, a member of the Council of the Croatian National Bank, the President of the Supervisory Board of Podravka Inc, President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Croatian Parliament, Vice President of the Government (1993-1995), a minister without portfolio (April-August 1992) and Mayor of Zagreb (1990-1993).
