Prof. dr. sc. Nikoleta Radionov is a full professor of maritime and general transport law at the Faculty of Law, University in Zagreb, where she graduated in 1994, obtained her LL.M. degree in 1998, and her Ph.D. degree in 2002 with a doctoral thesis Liability of the land carrier for damage. In 1999 she passed the Croatian Bar exam. She is an arbitrator at the Permanent Arbitration Court at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, where she occasionally arbitrates cases from the field of commercial, civil and transport law. She was trained at some of the leading international institutions in the field of international commercial and transport law (Hamburg, Rhodes, Aix-en-Provence, Turin, Florence). She has published two books in co-authorship (European Transport Law, Faculty of Law, University in Zagreb, 2011; The Law of Real Property – the Special Legal Regimes, Narodne novine, Zagreb, 2011), several book chapters and over 30 academic and professional papers in the field of land, air and maritime transport law, EU transport law and transport insurance law. She has participated in several legislation drafting working groups (Railways Act, Maritime Code, Civil Obligations Act). She teaches several undergraduate and postgraduate courses on the topics of maritime, land and air transport law and insurance law. She is a full member of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences, where she holds the function of Secretary General. She is an external associate of the European Transport Law Journal and of the Institut du Droit International des Transports (IDIT), Rouen, France. She is a member of several professional and academic associations in Croatia and abroad, and a member of the editorial board of the Collected Papers of the Zagreb Law Faculty as well as of the EUROPA info Bulletin of the European Documentation Centre Zagreb.
